ELAN®. Tecnologies based on Anammox Process. USC - aqualia

 

 

The Environmental Engineering and Bioprocesses Group of the University of Santiago de Compostela and the company Aqualia have developed an autotrophic denitrification process in one stage, based on the Anammox process, the so called ELAN® (Eliminación Autótrofa de Nitrógeno).

Environmental Decision Support System. UdG-Aqualogy

 
The Laboratory of Chemical and Environmental Engineering (LEQUIA) of the University of Girona has developed a Decision Support System for the selection of alternatives in the design of wastewater treatment stations. The NOVEDAR_EDSS integrates expert and bibliographic knowledge and also evaluates the economic and environmental costs of alternative proposals.

 

Microaerobic Digestion. H2S free biogas. UVa-Socamex

 

The Environmental Technology group of the University of Valladolid and the company SOCAMEX, have applied microaerobic process to control H2S in the biogas produced in sewage sludge digestion. This operational strategy permits to obtain a free H2S biogas maintaing the removal efficiencies and methane production.

Advanced Data Management Tool and Dynamic plant Simulator for the Galindo-Bilbao WWTP. (CEIT - CABB)

 

The Environmental Engineering Unit of CEIT-IK4 and the Bilbao Bizkaia Water Consortium (CABB) have developed an Advanced Data Management Tool and a Dynamic plant Simulator for the Galindo-Bilbao´s WWTP.

Videos Novedar_Consolider Project

NOVEDAR_Consolider project started in December 2007 with the aim of developing the Sewage Treatment Plant of the XXI Century. The three main challenges of the project are improving water and product recovery during wastewater treatment, minimising energy requirements and operational costs of full-scale plants and minimising sludge production.

 

Along these years, Novedar_Consolider project has developed 16 new patents, published 350 articles in scientific international journals and edited 11 books.
